By Online Labels

SANFORD, FL, July 10, 2018, a leader in blank and custom printed labels, launches a new label generator tool for companies handling hazardous chemicals. The new resource will allow users to create a label compliant with the Globally Harmonized Standard (GHS) of hazard safety.

The GHS generator tool is designed to provide organizations of all sizes a convenient way to comply with international standards. The tool assists users with pre-written hazard statements and auto-generated pictograms, eliminating the need for timely research, a designer, or expensive software.

"Ensuring proper compliance to regulatory standards can be very intimidating for small companies. When new GHS regulations were introduced, we quickly noticed concern and confusion from customers," said President Dave Carmany. "We decided to create an easy way for them to be compliant with industry standards and remove unnecessary guesswork, while keeping their employees and transportation specialists safe."

To generate a GHS chemical label, users:

  1. Select the substance that requires labeling by choosing from a predetermined list or by entering their own.
  2. Choose the appropriate GHS-approved hazard statements, details, and supplier identifications.
  3. Review the information.
  4. Generate a PDF of the label, choose a download size, and print.

"Even if you are an end user at a small or mid-sized company, compliance is easier than you think with easy-to-use GHS label software and labels you can print at your desk," says Christine Webb. Webb is a Certified Safety Professional with experience as an OSHA compliance officer. She is currently a safety consultant at Avitus Group, providing occupational safety support to businesses. "You can get in compliance quickly, avoid higher OSHA penalties, and keep your employees and workplace safe and productive."
