I'm a Homebrewer and a Graphic Designer and I love creating different labels for my beers. This is just one of them and actually has won me two awards for creative beer labels on two magazines.
Useful tips for this project
Get inspired by what you're making. For me, the type of beer or the ingredients inspire me and get my creativity going. For example, the beer i made was a strong take on a Pumpkin beer so the name Death By Pumpkin came first and made total sense to use it on a skull. The writing inside was all done by hand and put together in Illustrator.
