If you're having issues like printer creep, etc. update your drivers and software, if it's available. I work in Photoshop for images and InDesign for label creation and have found this tip to be a game changer. Also, different printers are better for different projects. We are a workhorse printer for the runs of hundreds of pages and printers we can tweak the color on for the ones where nuances of color make a difference.
