About Our Weatherproof Vinyl Laser (LV) Material

When applications require an extremely durable label, this vinyl-based material is up for the challenge. It is designed to resist tearing or peeling, as well as contact with oils, moisture, and other hazardous chemicals. Our white weatherproof vinyl label sheets are perfect for any application, from industrial chemical labeling to jobs around the house, and can be used with standard desktop laser printers. Use them for chemical pictograms, red diamonds, hazard statements, signal words, and more.

Vinyl Laser and GHS-Compliant Label FAQs

  • Can I only use these labels for chemical drums?

Our heavy-duty, chemical-resistant labels are equipped to handle a variety of jobs. If you need a material to hold up against moisture, oils, or heavy handling, these labels can provide that extra protection without sacrificing look or feel.

  • What is the difference between Weatherproof Polyester Laser (LP) and Weatherproof Vinyl Laser (LV)?

While both materials share very similar properties, there are a few key differences between the two. The weatherproof polyester laser is made from a polyester material and has a slight sheen on the facestock. Our weatherproof vinyl laser is a true vinyl that is thicker in nature and has a matte finish. In addition, the weatherproof vinyl laser material is our only BS5609 Section 2-compliant material.

  • Are these labels BS5609 GHS-compliant?

All of our chemical-resistant weatherproof vinyl laser labels are BS5609 Section 2-compliant. Section 2 compliance is granted if the blank stock passes certain maritime testing procedures.

  • Are these labels compatible with any laser printer?

Yes. These labels work with all household and office laser printers. However, if you require your labels to be compliant with Section 3 of BS5609, you will need to make sure you have a compatible printer.

Our materials are tested to be Section 3-compliant with the following printers:

    • Lexmark C792E
    • NeuraLabel 500e (Sheet)
