Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are clear gloss inkjet labels best used for?

Clear gloss inkjet labels are best for a shiny, transparent label look. They’re often used on bottles, jars, candles, cosmetics, and packaging where the surface should show through. The glossy finish can help create a more polished no-label style on smooth containers.

  • Do clear gloss inkjet labels create a no-label look?

Clear gloss inkjet labels can create a cleaner, more transparent look on smooth surfaces. The final appearance depends on the container color, label shape, artwork, lighting, and application quality.

  • Can I print dark colors on clear gloss inkjet labels?

Yes, you can print colored designs on clear gloss inkjet labels with a compatible inkjet printer. Darker colors often show better than pale colors because the container background affects the final appearance. Remember that areas without ink will remain clear, and most desktop printers will not print white.

  • How should I apply clear gloss labels for the best look?

Apply clear gloss labels to a clean, dry, smooth surface and press evenly from one edge to the other. Oils, dust, moisture, and air bubbles can make clear labels more noticeable. Careful application helps reduce bubbles, fingerprints, and alignment issues.
