How To Make Identification Labels or Cards for your Garden
Customized labels or cards are an excellent way to identify any plant that is in your garden or nursery. Keeping vital information such as proper sunlight times and watering instructions right next to the plant or even on the pot, can help your garden blossom into something truly special!
Steps
- Whether you are labeling the plant itself or the pot that it resides in, the first step is to pick what label works right for you. Some of our most popular uses for labeling your plants are the OL2525, OL5275, and the OL2520.
- Once you’ve selected the right label or card, visit Maestro Designer or download the appropriate blank template.
- Decide the information needed to go on the label. A few things you may want to include are the name of the plant, size, where it grows, a picture of the plant, and possibly a few helpful facts about the particular plant.
- The next step after figuring out what you want to go on your label is placing it onto your downloaded template. After you have placed all the information into your template you are ready to print.
- We suggest printing a test page to ensure your label will print out to your specifications.
- After you have viewed your test page and are content with your label all that is left is to load your laser or inkjet printer with your plant labels and print.
- You now have custom made labels that will help in the identification of your garden and nurseries.
Tips and Tricks
- Labeling your plants is a great way to record information in a garden journal so you know how well the plants perform, when a particular plant may bloom, and keeping track of harvest size.
