Common Printing Issues - Transparent Text Backgrounds

Due to software limitations, some designs that appear perfect in Maestro Label Designer on-screen may print out with a transparent (clear) bounding box behind text elements. Please refer to the example below. Although there's a very simple solution to this common problem, we feel that it is something which should be addressed.

Transparent text backgrounds are a common issue in Maestro Label Designer. They can be easily fixed.

In Maestro Label Designer, select the "Print" icon in the File Toolbar.

Click on "Print / Preview" to open your design in a new window for printing.

Once the Adobe Reader preview of your label design has been generated, click the Print icon in the upper-left corner to begin the print process.

Click on the "Advanced" button to edit print settings, as illustrated below.

Make sure "Print As Image" is checked. Click "OK" to save your settings and return to the Print screen.

You should now be back on the Print screen. Click "OK" to start printing your design!
