I have used publisher for many years and really like it much better than other programs that I have used. It is easy to import my own pictures and data into it and I can edit it easily. It is pretty user friendly and I would love to see Online labels have more of their predesigned templates in the program, but I like it.

I've just downloaded this software but can't find any way of editing the size of the labels! I don't want to use Avery or one of the ones it knows about. Perhaps there is a way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet so I have rated it an optimistic 3 stars.

This is the worst version of Publisher ever. Version 2003 was fantastic for labels. The 2007 version makes it nearly impossible to design custom label dimensions/sizes. If anyone has insights, please post. Even the help menu for P 2007, when you say "custom label sizes" just tells you how to adjust the elements ON your label, not the label itself. 2003 had an easy "custom" way to build any size of label... 2007 does not give that option... at least I can't find it, and I am a big Publisher fan. For all the label printing or set up options, you must choose between a bunch of stock Avery label sizes... you are not given the option to edit any of those, and there is no custom feature I can find, after hours of work (and years of using P 2003 exclusively) to use the many OL sizes that do not match an Avery template. This is a garbage, over rated software for labels. Most people selling this software online, just parrot the sales garbage on the MS web site ... and have never used the software for a custom label size application.

Publisher is the software I like to use for all my label printing needs. Very powerfull and simple at the same time. I use it with excel spreadsheets for mail-merge.

Fits our need perfectly, use them for Material data safety sheets on oil drums and have not had any problems or complaints from customers. Saves us a lot on the pre-printed labels we used to buy. In these times that means a lot.

Limited templates to design. I like Publisher for other pieces such as brochures and flyers, but I prefer Roxio Label Creator for making CD labels.

Publisher is very user-friendly and flexible. Can make your labels as simple or elaborate as you want. Very easy to learn.
