Click'n Design 3D was affordable and looked appealing. Only one problem, it didn't work with my Windows XP - Media Center PC. Incompatible, for some reason and the software company says there isn't anything they can do to help.

I bought Click-N-Design 3D on a whim and with low expectations, but it has performed well, is very versatile (expecially the 3D text), and has been a pleasure to work with. At such a low price (I think it was about $30), it is a bargain and a great workhorse. Very easy to use.

We've been using Click'n Design 3D here at the studio to make labels for the CDs and DVDs that go out to clients for review as well as internal archiving, but that's all we use it for. The program tends to crash a lot, causing me to create labels twice. It always sees to happen when trying to delete something from the design. It's very slow when scrolling from top to bottom, so I recommend clicking in the empty area of your scroll bar to jump to the bottom of your design. The limited text tools don't allow for more than one font style (bolding, underlining) per text box.
I also have difficulty in kerning and leading on some basic fonts at smaller sizes. I'll get irregular spacing between letters and lines which I cannot fix unless I change my font size.
For anything that requires more than basic text, I use InDesign's professional-level tools, which I realize is out of reach for non-designer people, but the ability to have complete control is essential for some projects. A PDF is made so anyone can later print the labels.
Like I said, basic is OK for Click'n Design 3D, but even then it can be frustrating.

I purchased the Click'n Design 3D and the CD Stomper and love it. The software was easy to install and setup, it has an easy and fast design wizard and other great graphics and effects.
