DMZ Sprays insect repellent - Label Ideas

by Alex Ryzy-Ryski
Description

One of several labels we print for our products. We use full sheets and a trimmer to cut to size. The full sheets make it simple to changes sizes to give us exactly what we need. The one pictured is 2" X 4" and by trimming our own, printer registration is no longer an issue. We can go right to the edge.

Useful tips for this project

Use OEM toners in your printer!<br/><br/>We started on inkjet printers and were accustomed to the accurate registration they provided but lacked the ultimate durability that the laser gives. Having switched, we were extremely pleased with the durability. Our products get exposed to moisture. I am a hog for using all the available space on a label and switching to the HP-4600, I had registration issues. I don't know if this is the case with all LP's but switching to the full sheets and using a trimmer fixed that. It is some extra work but it's doable. We print five other labels of different sizes for egg cartons, glass bottles, mason jars and PET plastic food containers. I also make very small labels for electrical wires. The OL-177P works perfectly for all of them. The HP-4600 seems to have some limits on the small print and if I look for another printer, I would look for resolution over speed. You give that up switching from inkjet to laser it seems. But make no mistake, printing your own is a major money saver!
